Two-day extravaganza of crafts and crafting for all the family

A new crafting event – staged at Stonham Barns Park last year – is being planned again for this Spring. The debut Easter Craft Market attracted ‘crafters’ from all over the East of England and the plan is to stage an enhanced craft market to follow it this year.

The Spring Craft Market will take place on the weekend of 29 and 30 March and will feature craft stalls, demonstrations and more. The hand-made locally produced gifts on sale will not be available on the High Street.

Said Janice Rowles of Stonham Barns Park, ‘We are inviting people to hop into Spring with our vibrant craft market which will be a delightful celebration of creativity and community.’

‘There will be two fun-filled days where talented local artisans and crafters will showcase their handmade treasures to add a touch of Spring magic to any home.  From beautifully crafted decorations and unique gifts to cosy knits and seasonal baked goods – there’s something for everyone!’

‘Whether visitors are looking for the perfect gift for someone or to spend a lovely day with family, the Spring Craft Market is the place to be. It’s all about the joy of Spring and getting out and about!’

Exhibits will cover drawing, painting, macrame, knitting, crocheting, textiles, glass, metal, wood and pottery.  A jewellery demonstration will be put on by Albany Tripp the owner of award-winning Suffolk business Sakura Studio Gallery in association with Stone Rose Crystals an independent trader of minerals, rocks and gemstones.  Both outlets are based at Stonham Barns Park Retail village.

Continues Janice, ‘Stonham Barns Park retail village is becoming a hub for crafters and hobbyists which fits with Suffolk being the ideal spot for inspiration and creativity.’

‘We look forward to putting on another bright, colourful and imaginative show.’

The weekend will also provide visitors with the opportunity to take a look around the 40 unique shops that are open at the venue’s retail village.

Stonham Barns Park does not just offer great shows and events, it has many attractions for the whole family onsite including an owl and bird of prey centre, pirate adventure golf course, 9-hole golf course, sports bar, vintage dodgem rides and funfair rides, fishing lakes, teapot pottery, restaurant and tearoom.
